The main redeeming factor is being able to port over the custom maps and campaigns as well as the expanded editor in the new version. They didn't need to change the core story but a revised script with fresh voice acting and a few extra bits of content here and there like a fight between Arthas and Anasterian would have made this worth the money to buy in my eyes. It's especially disheartening when you consider they made certain assets like Anasterian Sunstrider who didn't appear in the original WC3 and thus his model will go unused in the campaign.

Yeah the original WC3 campaign was good but I can play it again right now and mod the graphics.
I immediately lost interest when they announced they would just be doing an exact copy of the original campaign rather then shaking it up with some tweaks and additions.
